Get Right v3.0 This is a pretty cool little program, it allows you to keep track of files you are getting. If the file stops, it will allow you to resume. If you get disconnected, it will reconnect, and go get the file again. There are a ton of options for this, its very handy if you download large files occationally

Anonymous Mailer This thing is pretty funny, I sent an email to a friend from the IRS, asking for $2 in back taxes. He called me on the phone worried about it, it was a great laugh. Enjoy, don't play dirty tho.

PC Fire Wall This limited firewall for win95 stand alones, lets you configure to allow (or not allow) tcp or udp protocols on all or individual ports. I have played with it, all it really lacks, is ICMP that I can see. Its about point and click easy.

ConSeal PC Firewall Version 1 This FireWall has EVERYTHING you could ever want. You can block, upd,icmp,tcp/ip,smtp,wins,nntp,pop3,pop2,http,rip,dns,arp you can choose to accept, or deny when certain programs are running, or when they are not. You can block single ports, or full packet types. You can set to ignore packets, or warn on recieveing a packet. Basically, this is every protection need you could have, and will ever have. I would say DUMP all your other protections, and take the time to set this up, it ROCKS.

Nuke Nabber 2.5 This is probably the most popular nuke protection software. It lets you cover up to 50 ports of your choice, and pretty well lets you configure everything. I would say its not a bad alternative to pc firewall, if you doesn't have the knowledge, or time to set up the firewall.

Vipupd2.exe Here is the offical windows 95 stack update, that fixes the fragmentation bug, that has recently been exploited on almost all popular operating systems. Its an attack much like the "ping o' death" or "ssping" attack of the past, with the same basic effects. No matter what protection software you are using, (ConSeal PC Firewall being my personal choice), its still a good idea to run this patch. (NOTE: this patch ONLY works, and should ONLY be used with winsock 2.x)

Registry Patch Ok, this is another registry patch for oob nukes, unzip it, run it, reboot. You will be patched from oob's on 139, but will not see who trys to hit you (takes away the worry, and nothing more to deal with).

Skream v2.3 This was one of the first port listeners out. It has great options and is a nice port listener, if you are only worred about a single port, and want it covered well (like port 139). This is the newest release.

OOB fix Fix for windows 95 oob (out of band) attacts (AKA: Nukes). I know this file is old, and I didn't put it out before because if you use this file, it closes your ports and the port watches won't work. I felt while Nukes where still growing it was a good idea to catch offenders and maybe stop the flow of the proggies.. Now nukes are in the hands of everyone.. and it might be easier just to get the patch and not worry about it anymore. Up to you I guess.

Icmp Watch Icmp Watch is rhad ware, it can check for icmp echo packets, and true nukes (protocol_unreachable). If you seem to be getting kicked off your server a lot, you could be getting hit with a true nuke, which disconnects you from your server. If you seem to be lagging a lot, and your modom lights blink like crazy sometimes, it would be a good idea to run this program. (this program needs winsock 2.2 to run, see d/l's)

vipupd SSPING is an up and comming windows crash (like winnuke,icmp of the past). This is the offical fix for win95

ITrace A packet trace utility for win95. Ping, traceroute, dns lookups, all around nice if you don't have access, or want to use a shell account via telnet to ping/traceroute.

Port Block Multi-port blocker(3), in session log however no .log text file

Port Scan Port Scanner, show's open ports, on your pc, or a remote computer

ICMP Scan ICMP packet scanner, runs from dos. (note: this will show normal connections also, not all icmp connects are bad)
